the      GIVING     ROOM

Paula and Judy

Paula DiDonato and Judy Teeven are the owners of THE GIVING ROOM and have been residents of Southold since 2000.  For them, the journey to this magical community started with a desire to transform their lives into a more balanced and joyous experience.  And the community has delivered on this dream.

Claire

THE GIVING ROOM yoga program is managed by Claire Jannuzzi, who offers group and private vinyasa-style yoga. Claire’s style of yoga encourages practitioners to cultivate their practice, within the framework of what is offered. She encourage yogis to tune into the intelligence of body, mind and spirit and explore variations of postures as appropriate.

Annie

The Art Program at THE GIVING ROOM is curated with help of Annie WIldey.  Annie lives in New York City but has been a regular visitor to the North Fork.   She was thrilled to return this year as Orient’s Artist-in-Residence at the William Steeple Davis House.  Annie’s work can be seen at: www.anniewildey.com.

SPACE

THE GIVING ROOM is located at 56215 Main Road in Southold.  This is a fitting location as the space, owned by the Witzke Family has been a part of the Southold community for over 100 years.  Amongst other things, the space has served as the site of our community’s general store and more recently the home of Natural Choice Foods & Southold Yoga, formerly owned and operated by Claire Jannuzzi.   The opening of THE GIVING ROOM represents a ‘coming home’ for Claire who has been serving as the community’s principal yoga instructor for the past several years.

The space was also the location of Annie Wildey’s first art studio.  Located in the back room behind Claire’s yoga studio. Annie used the room on weekends to paint, inspired by the North Fork Landscape.
